The Purple Scapular, also known as the Scapular of Benediction, was revealed to Marie Julie Jahenny, a Catholic stigmatist and mystic, on August 23, 1878. This sacred scapular is believed to offer divine protection and blessings to those who possess it.

The scapular features two panels: the red side is the front, and the other side is coloured, adorned with the instruments of the Passion. The cord is purple and includes knots as requested in the vision. Notably, the Purple Scapular is larger than a usual scapular, as was revealed to Marie Julie Jahenny and measures approximately 9,8cm by 11cm.

Marie Julie Jahenny reported that both Jesus and the Virgin Mary appeared to her, explaining the significance and promises of the scapular. It is said to provide protection against natural disasters, storms, supernatural chastisements, and even intruders. Displaying, carrying, or wearing the Purple Scapular is believed to bring divine protection and comfort.
